Many
visitors say that even just a short visit to this magic cave felt more
special than going to the popular Underground River in Sabang, in Central
Palawan, as it is unique and you are more personally involved. You have
to swim in the dark with the aid of flashlights.
Another piece of folklore is that the Goddess was and still is, the
island where lovers go 'to make love'.

With every year of my life here, just like my desire for raw food and
better nutrition, I'm being drawn closer to the tranquil healing powers
of the Goddess. In June 2003, a Philippine born Physic Healer and musician
Rogelio Herrera from California, came to Private Island for a 2 week
holiday desiring to make wood flute recordings in environmental enriched
enchanting caves. He has been studying healing for 7 years with Indian
Shamans and is involved with many
global peace-building ceremonial gatherings. Several of his friends,
not knowing anything about our Princess, informed him he must perform
a magic healing ceremony to release a Princess or Goddess.
Only
when he arrived did he understand. Together with Bernt and Fe, (visitors
from Hawaii)
Anne-Karene and Frank, owners of
Moinhos Velhos, (a fasting
and healing spa in Portugal) and also healers themselves, Rogelio and
I entered the Goddess' inner cave altar with the sea snakes as company,
we performed several magical wood flute ceremonies, leaving semi-precious
stones in her womb. Another legacy that Rogelio left was initiating
me to the use of a conch-like shell called a Helmet Conch. He says the
'conch' mean 'Higher Conch-sciousness'. I call it the magic of talking
to the gods and when you stay at Private Island be prepared to hear
it a few times a day and you'll be encouraged to have several 'blows
to make a connection with our heavenly spirits'.
Several
weeks after Rogelio returned to the US, he sent me this beautiful message.
"As usual the Solstice ceremony was magical. I met a beautiful
medicine man 'Joseph Rael' (He is in his seventies). It was an honor
for us to have him sing and play one of my drums for the ceremony. I had
just met Joseph for a few moments and immediately felt a lot of aligning
similarity in our parallel lives. It is good to meet a kindred spirit. I
discovered I am not alone in my healing missions after meeting an elder
like him. A friend helped Joseph publish his latest book and gave us
copies that Joseph (Beautiful Painted Arrow) signed. It is called 'House
of Shattering Light'. Frank and other friends went with Joseph to do
another ceremony at the Northern California coast two days after. After
coming out of the ceremony, Joseph asked my friends Frank and Dodie if their friend Rogelio played the flute. Dodie laughed. Joseph
said that he'd heard me playing flute through the ocean and he was
guided by the Sea God (Poseidon) to give me a specific ceremony to do
for healing. He did not know that I played the flute and had just
done a ceremony inside a sacred cave in a remote island in the Philippines
a week before. I am so happy that I have met you and that we are able
to do the healing ceremony together. The vibrations are reaching all
the way across the Pacific Ocean."
Even without his communication, the strong healing sensations I felt
have encouraged me to repeat such healing ceremonies for special visitors.
The Healing Goddess has 7 magical Sisters, I can see 5 clearly
from here and am now beginning to talk to them with my conch.
So
study the beautiful silhouette of a lady's face and maybe you will see
her magic and then wonder why (like those before you) it took so long
to discover. Another easier image to find is an Elephant or a Wooley
Mammoth on her East side, leaning up against a mountain. I have been
waking up at one with nature for nearly 7,000 days of my life to such
an unfolding magical view and can tell you lots more about her and the
entire area.
Amazingly my beach has been doubly blessed with another fascinating cave
right at its eastern end. I consider it in the likeness if the womb
of the Goddess, as once you walk inside you are drawn to the back of
this small cave where a rock formation, not unlike a clitoris, juts
out. I now use this 'clitoris' to hug, just like others would hug a
tree, as to me it offers great grounding to our mother......Mother Nature
and the Goddess.
The
name of Malapacao in the Cuyunin language stands for "Land of
the Big Foot" or "Foot on the Ground." The Retreat's
fabulous location is within the toes, while the fishing village is nestled
within the instep. From a distance our island portrays a magnificent
profile of strength, with its two peaks standing sentry at either end
of a beautiful white sand beach. Should anyone wish to turn Inabuyutan
upside down, her shape could fit very accommodatingly into the valley
between Malapacao's two peaks.
For
those who have been here a while, experiencing one of our cleansing
detox programs with colonics, Chi Nei Tsang, raw food nutrition, slimming
and weight loss, connecting to their "inner self" and
spending time admiring both islands, the yin and yang healing
balance becomes quickly apparent. Sometimes, especially now, one finds
the magnetism a little overpowering. This divine force of the Goddess
has been the major reason why I have continued to find the strength
and determination to battle all kinds of odds where most others would
have given up, and to realize my original commitment to the island
and nearby area and to holistic health for women.
All
the islands have a special meaning behind their name. Plus due to their
very strategic location, many of these carry rather dramatic historical
stories over the centuries, having housed lookouts and seen many battles.
